I walk through the forest, back across the border into Mystic Falls. I've been gone for months. Lucas's been giving me updates on Victoria. Engaged to her. I'm happy for the both of them. Me, I've been busy with my own problems. I now have a long scar across my face over my eye. My chest is covered in patched up knife wounds and scratches. I've had a time of it. I'm not the same guy I was when I left. Not anymore. I walk through the forest. Stake gun held at my side, knifes lined in my waistband.

I know I gave up all the hunting and I'm basically on the other side of the whole hunting thing, but I still walk around the forest to walk around.
Today though was different. Another present was here. I walk further into the wood and see...I can't believe my eyes. Michael. Is it you? I look at him and can't believe my eyes. He looks so...different. I see the scarf on his face. What happened to you?

I turn around and see Victoria standing there. Victoria. I acknowledge. Congratulations on your engagement. I ignore her comment about my face. I'm aware that my own sister attempted to kill me. No need to dwell on the shitty past.

I smile at him and nod happily. Now it burns under my fingernails to know where he was or what happened. Thank you, Mike. But tell me, how are you? Where were you? You just disappeared!

I swallow and brush off the question. I had some business to attend to. My alter ego thought it'd be fun to come out. Always a fun month. I don't understand why Victoria cares so much. My existence is hardly of importance. It's not important to anyone.

Michael was never really emotional, but somehow he changed. He seems to avoid my questions. I try not to show him that it makes me more curious. He is like an older brother to me, and he taught me everything I needed to know about hunting. He gave me the idea of just hunting supernaturals that deserve it. Well it's nice to see you again.

I nod and offer a small smile. It's good to see you, as well. I clear my throat. I apologize; I've-um, I've had a rough couple of months, I'm not really msyelf right now. I run a hand through my hair. [color=orange]Lucas treating you well? [/colo]

I smile and nod. Could not be better. He makes me enjoy ever second of my life. But I'm sorry to hear that you had rough times. I didn't even now that you left. You were gone. I shrug and cross my arms.

I run a hand through my hair. I know; I'm sorry. When I heard you were a vampire I was shocked at first, but in a way I'm happy. I didn't want the hunter life for you. Its a life of slavery and instinct. Its not natural. You deserve better. I'm glad you found Lucas. I nod. He's a good man. If you were to spend eternity with anyone, I'd want it to be him. I offer a reassuring smile.

I smile back at him and blush a little bit. Thank you, Mic. You have no idea how I feel. I just know Luke is the right man for me. I never thought I would say that, or feel something like this. I shake my head and smile at him. It fades as I realize that he is not happy. His life must have been really hard, he looks very exhausted and not like old Michael. Okay, stop it right now and tell me the truth, Mic. What happened to you? I don't want to hear anything else. Just the truth, please?

I shrug my shoulders. Nothing major. Witch tortures me, then decides to curse me and evolve an alter ego which rose to the surface. Alter ego finds my sister out of the blue; insults sister, sister attempts to kill me. Then the alter ego fades and I'm left with my sister aiming a dagger at my heart. I had no other option, so I had to kill her. Moral of the story, don't piss off a witch. I say simply.

I look at him, my mouth standing open and blink a few times. Okay, if you trying to tell me that is not a major thing in your life, than there is something really going wrong! I'm so sorry, Mic, I had no idea! And I'm just talking about me and Luke, not knowing what happened in your life! And about your sister...I I have no words.

I put my hands in my pockets. The past is the past. I shrug my shoulders. Defense mechanism shooting up now. Shit happens, life goes on I let out a breath. ONe way or another, it always does.

Don/t pretend that you are fine, I can see that you are not good at all. Nobody can be good when something happens like that! I don't believe you Mic. I know you quite well now. And I can tell if something is wrong. I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow. I feel like he is family, and I know if something is wrong. He should better stop thinking he could do all this badass thing with me.

I run a hand through my hair. What do you want me to say, Victoria? THat being tortured sucked, that killing my sister sucked, that being possessed sucked. Yes, Victoria it did. it sucked. Of course I'm angry. I shake my head, my voice becoming angrier, though not at her. I've been angry my whole fucking life, Victoria. It's nothing new; I've lived with it for 31 years, I'll survive. I always bloody manage it one way or another.

I just shake my head. I never doubted that, Mic. But you deserve happiness as well. Like anyone else in this world. You're not the only one running around with family issues the whole time. I know how it feels. If I wouldn't have Luke, I don't know what might have happened to me. You need to find something that can help you , mic. I would be glad to help you with that.

I run a hand through my hair and shake my head. I am fine, Victoria. I am content with my life. I sigh and look at her. My voice softens. Don't worry about me, okay? I'll pull through. I always do. I offer a half-assed reassuring smile.

I do t believe him as he tries to smile at me and pretends to be one. He is not which is understandable. His own sister tried to kill him! I shrug and cross my arms above my chest, hike I raise an eyebrow. Well how about you come for a tea to us or something? I think Luke would be happy to see you again as well. Also it would bring you on other thoughts. I look at him and offer a small hoping smile. Michael is like a big brother figure to me and it makes me sad to see him suffering under the things he experienced.
